His way

In Your way, not mine,
will lasting pleasure I find.
In your way, not mine,
there is rest for my soul.

In your way, not mine,
true strength do I find.
In your way, not mine,
In wisdom I live

In your way, my Jesus,
Give me courage to walk.
In your way, never mine,
to the end of all time

Devotion

I look at my heart,
my devotions unclear,
I wish to surrender to christ,
my life, my strength to me so dear

When will devotion,
so rare in this age,
grow in my heart
toward the ancient of days

My heart it does seek Him
but it runs just the same.
O' cursed division when will you end.
Give now full devotion,
full of courage and love,
to christ your savior
who poured out His blood.

Do you not see Him stretch out both hands?
His blood dripped to cleanse you, life poured from His veins.
What would He spare,
who bore both nails and thorns,
to strengthen the new life
He died to bestow?

The Wanderer

From Your path I did wander
and soon pain did I find.
First it tore my heart
and then it tormented my mind.

I feared myself lost.
For how could I return?
I've fallen in the gutter
now I'm filthy with grime
why would you ever want me,
o son of the devine?

Soon a voice I heard
a sad cry beneath it's call.
"where are you going little child?
don't run so far from home.
I will always love you
for now you are mine own.
I gave my all to save you,
I'll clease you once again.
if I shed my blood to save you
is there anything I'd spare?
Come. Turn now from evil
and you'll find my joy again."
